Thanks for the info! It is definitely hard to undo the old school programming in my brain about what foods are best but I'm working on it.

Great article, thanks for all of the great information. You have green leafy veggies under the "Eat Less", I'm surprised by this, I thought these are a low starch veggie? Also, what about green beans, where should these fall?

Hi! The leafy greens are a low starch vegetable. I have them under the eat less category due to their high levels of oxalates, phytates, and lectins. These compounds can cause digestive issues as well as limit the nutrient absorption from the foods themselves.

As for green beans they fall under the legume category and would be on the eat less list!
