Better experiences developed through improved awareness

It’s been almost two months since I have sent out any articles and this week my son turns 2 months old. Needless to say, I now have a greater understanding of many of the challenges parents are facing……. but more so I am processing and learning new things every day in a way that is foreign to me! Once I am not so tired from the lack of sleep I will share my perspective on this experience which is parenthood. From what I have heard it only lasts a few years….right?

Anyway! Although I haven’t been writing I have been creating a list of topics I am excited to bring to you all. There are always more topics q cover on ways to improve our physical health and no doubt we will discuss more things related to nutrition. However, I also want to dive deeper into our purpose, perceptions, awareness, thoughts, and emotions around health and fitness.

Often we are very caught in the physical objective aspects of health and we don’t talk enough about the subjective experience that is there every step of the way. There is no doubt in my mind that this subjective experience is what can drive us toward our goals or put an immovable roadblock in our way.

Don’t get me wrong there are scientific principles that can dictate our progress or lack thereof and I plan to teach you those as well. First, we must develop a deeper awareness of our subjective experiences. Then we can learn how to align our experience with the principles and behaviors that lead to achieving goals.

Over the next few weeks, I am going to challenge you (and myself) to be more aware of various behaviors and our thoughts and emotions around those behaviors.

For now, I want you to develop an awareness of how aware you are when it comes to behaviors you believe to have a positive or negative effect on your health. Just think about it…
